Hello, @Shadyal

You can go to the customer's information to move a sub-customer from one parent account to another.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to your Sales menu and select Customers
  2. Look for the customer and click the Edit button.
  3. Click the Is sub-customer checkbox and choose the parent customer from the list.
  4. Hit the Save button once you're done.

See this article for more information: Edit customer information. You can also check on the following article on how to merge your customers: How to merge accounts, customers, and vendors

I'm always here if you need further help with your customers. Take care and have a wonderful day!

Thanks for getting back to us, @Shadyal.

I'm happy to help out here, and I'd like to gain some additional insight into what's happening when you try to move the sub-customer. Are you receiving an error message? If so, could you provide me with that error message or a screenshot? Once I know more, I can give you a definitive answer.

I'll be here to help, just hit that Reply button below. Have a good one.

Yay! more hot garbage from Quickbooks... Imagine my surprise!

Has this issue been resolved yet? I am having the same problem 5 years later. The work-around of deleting and recreating invoices is unreasonable.

Not that I am aware of. In fact, I experienced the same message as recently as last month.
