Question

I currently have two customers that setup auto-pay for recurring invoices due upon receipt… But the payment hasn’t posted. How do I get the first payment to go through?

It's good to have you here, @redtailfitness-g.

I'll share info on when the first payment will go through in QuickBooks.

If you're new to QuickBooks (QB) Payments, it will be posted within five business days because we have to set up your account first. Once done, customer payments will be posted much faster.

Also, you can check the payment's deposit speed through QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Account and Settings.
  2. Clickthe Payments tab.
  3. Check the Deposit Speed section.

You can read this article for more info: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

If you want to learn how QBO automatically records deposits and fees deducted from your Payments account, check out this article: Record payments deposits and fees in QuickBooks Online.
