Question

I entered bills & marked them paid under Pay Bills. Then I clicked on print checks under New, but there was nothing showing to print. The bills show as paid. Print?

Let me help you print the transactions you need, allegra60008.

If the bill payments or checks you’ve recently entered are missing from the print queue you need to make sure the correct bank account is selected in the Print Checks window and the bill payments or checks are set for later printing. Here's how to verify the right account is selected:

  1. Click the + New Plus icon.
  2. Under the Vendors section, select Print Checks.
  3. Make sure the correct bank account is selected from the Account drop-down. If not, choose the right bank account from the drop-down.

After you verify the right account is selected, then ensure the bill payments or checks are set for later printing:

  1. Go to Expenses, then select Expenses (Take me there).
  2. On the Expense Transactions window, choose the Bill Payment/Check you want to print, then select View/Edit.
  3. In the Bill Payment/Check window, check the Print Later box.
  4. Press Save and close.

Now you know what to do when bill payments or checks are missing from the print queue. If you need to print paid bills, you'll want to utilize the built-in print function to print the Bill page. I'll show you how:

  1. Click Expenses from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Expenses tab.
  3. Locate and then click the appropriate bill to open it.
  4. Press CTRL+P for Windows or Command+P for Mac to launch the Print dialog box.
  5. Choose the desired layout.
  6. Press Print to complete the process (see below).
