It's great to hear that your financial institution reissued a new card, Bryan. I'm here to help you connect it to online banking so you can continue categorizing your transactions.

As you have received a replacement card, it is advisable to unlink the previously connected account. After this, you can link the new credit card account to enable transactions to continue posting there. Alternatively, you can create a new credit card register (account) and subsequently link the card to it based on your preference. Beforehand, please ensure to add or match any pending transactions in the For Review tab, as they will disappear once you unlink your account.

If you want to disconnect the old credit card account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the tile for the credit card account.
  3. Select the pencil icon, then click Edit account info.
  4. Hit the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
  5. Click Save and Close.

After that, you can connect the account:

  1. From Transactions, select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose Link Account.
  3. Enter the URL or name of your credit card in the Search field, then select it.
  4. Add your Sign info, then click Continue.
  5. Select the account want to connect and the date to pull transactions from the drop-down menu. Then, select Next.
Note: Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
  6. Choose your account type on the Account type drop-down, then select Next.

For more details about the process, please see this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Finally, I've added these resources to help you review categories for automatically downloaded transactions and ensure they match your bank and credit card statements:

That should do it! Please don't hesitate to post again here in the Community forum if you have any follow-up questions about the process or need assistance categorizing your bank data. I'm always ready to help you.
