I HATE QUICKBOOKS COMPLAINTS

I want to start by saying how much I HATE Quickbooks Online. It's supposed to the most innovative but it is the worse piece of arse of an software.

HERE ARE THINGS THAT DOES NOT WORK OR QB JUST LIKE TO MAKE PEOPLE SUFFER.

- cannot delete multiple transactions in expenses. No, it does not work. Why can't I just go to expenses, click on the transactions I want to delete and delete them all. It does not allow me to.

- Why can't I search for key words in the transactions and pull up all expenses relating to the title? Impossible.

- Oh and the cheapest is $30 a month for an outdated piece of ish.

The best software was from Godaddy Bookkeeping. Too bad they went out of business. Has anyone found anything similar?

If you are working solo on a desktop (PC or Mac) to manage your book and only need basic features, you should explore a free program. You can use the program for as long as you like, use all the features and enter as much data as required. There are no time limits, no usage limits, no ads (at this time). This program is quite popular in Asia and Europe.

Hello there, Shirley.

May I know if you're referring to getting the QuickBooks Desktop 2017 version? I hope you can give me more details about your concern so we can properly address your concern. Anyway, if you have any other problems or issues about QuickBooks, let me know so we can help.

Have a great day ahead!

Hey there, @bmblebee.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I sincerely understand how inconvenient this is for you.

Yes, you're right. We can only delete expenses one at a time. Being able to batch delete expenses in the register would be convenient and save time. It would also be helpful to have the ability to pull up all transactions by searching for keywords. The Search function only allows you to find entries by entering the date, amount, or transaction number.

I encourage you to add your vote for these by sending a feature request in the Feedback section within QuickBooks. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions then select Next.
  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

If you're working with bank feeds, you can exclude multiple transactions at once.

Stay in touch if there's anything else I can help you with QuickBooks. I'm always right here if you have additional concerns.

I have an endless list of complaints and it seems like they fall on deaf ears.  Providing feedback does not help.  They do not listen.

I would like to start a class action law suit against this terrible company. I would bet we could find thousands of people that would file with me. I've never seen such blatant deception in all my days. The fees, the lies, the constant upselling of services is appalling. White collar crime is a lot harder to police I guess because they make sure to cover there trail. Not only do I have to pay for your software, but I have to hire a book keeper to fix the endless mistakes that occur in a give year and then over pay taxes on income that was incorrectly logged twice. Now it really gets expensive to hire a forensic accountant to go over the whole thing again to save money on taxes. All this because you can not make an honest product. I'm sure your investors love you just as much as the book keepers. Thanks for nothing Intuit. I hope you go out of business.

@temerson1

Have you migrated your data to another accounting app?

March 29, 2024

I couldn't agree with you more. Now I see they are forcing their updates on us using the mobile version. If I could go back to the 2017 version of this software I would there has been a steady decline of changes made to the UI that are some of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I can't believe I have to pay for this crap.

As a quickbooks user for 20 years, I'm done! I am currently being extorted until I find a different product. What an arrogant piece of crap company that has extorted all their loyal customers and given them an unusable solution to a non problem. Can't wait for a competetor to offer a basic level of service and a program that works. Shame on you Intuit you are killing your golden goose

@Jdhess

I am currently being extorted

Any specific concern?

September 17, 2024

The Extorsion part:

They disabled all the bank feeds on Desktop so it forced most people to have to move to QB online or enter every transaction manually

The specifics of the crappy part:

Can't bring your entire company file so you have to keep records on your old unsupported desktop version. I could only bring 2023 forward. I have 20 years of data and will have to covert all my records to another program to be able to use.

If you were on QB payroll they suck all your data as soon as you discontinue even though you paid for the service

Interface is so "improved" that you spend lots of time figuring how to do simple tasks

Migration is a disaster since you lose most of your templates, reports and auto fills

I could go on but you asked for specifics, and yes it costs me $900 per year for a service that was $500 for 3 years

This is not the same quickbooks as desktop. The online is garbage.

November 8, 2024

Ditto.  Been using Desktop for years but thought I would try online because of the constant glitches in the Desktop software.  Online is designed for non-accountants and is not intuitive at all for accountants.  If I can clean it up this week, I will switch to another company.  Any suggestions of other software?

@mvlee928-icloud-

Cloud-based accounting applications have definitely been designed for all end users. The main concern is simply balancing all the accounts with minimal effort and letting the accountant fix any problems. You should compare QBO vs Xero for sure. You can get a big discount with this promo link

If you decide switching to a new program, you can convert data as-is and use the trial version of QB Desktop Enterprise to access your historical data for good.
