Question

I have 160 recurring templates. Every quarter I need to print an invoice for each one. How do I do that? They currently all say "unscheduled". I need an answer soon.

Thanks for coming here, @morrisonsanitary.

 

Let me help you schedule your recurring templates and print each one.

 

Here's how to schedule your recurring templates:

 

  1. From the Gear icon, 
  2. Select Recurring Transactions, from the Lists column.
  3. Click the Edit icon recurring template you want to schedule, below the Action column.
  4. You'll be routed to the recurring template form. Click the Type field, beside the Template name and select Schedule.
  5. Once done click Save Template.

On the other hand, the ability to print recurring transactions automatically is unavailable. As a workaround, we can manually print it.

So I have to go into 160 recurring templates and change "unscheduled" to "scheduled"????

Why wasn't it set up that way when I went from Desktop to Online a few months ago?  With Desktop I could print all 160 invoices in a matter of 10 minutes.

 

If I go through each and every one, and select "scheduled", for 160 templates, then what's next?

How do I print the 160 invoices?  This should be an extremely easy task for Quickbooks but no one seems to give me a straight answer.  FYI: I PRINT my invoices, I do not email them.

 

I need a definitive answer ASAP - invoices should have been mailed already.

I understand how you want QuickBooks Online to work the same way with QuickBooks Desktop. I'll guide you on how you can print invoices, Morrison.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can filter to batch so you can print the invoices. To do so, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Bookkeeping then Transactions select All sales, or go to Sales then select All sales.
  2. Select the Filter ▼ dropdown menu.
  3. From the Delivery method ▼ dropdown menu, select Print later. Then select Apply.
  4. Select the checkboxes for the sales forms you want to print. To mark them all, select the checkbox next to the DATE column.
  5. From the Batch actions ▼ dropdown menu, select Print.
