Hi there, Dan. Let's work together to ensure you can view the employee's billable rate in a report.

First, I'd like to know what billing report you pull up in QuickBooks Online (QBO). It'll help me determine why the rate isn't showing.

In the meantime, I recommend running and customizing the Employee Contact List report. This way, we can pull up the necessary data. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Type in Employee Contact List in the Search field.
  3. Click Columns.
  4. Place a checkmark beside the Billing rate box.
  5. Add the columns or filters you want to include in the report. Then, close the pop-up window.
  6. Once done, hit Refresh report.

To learn how pay rates, cost rates, and billable rates impact profitability in your books, please see this article: Pay rates, cost rates, and billable rates in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can run other various payroll reports in your QBO account to help you monitor your employees' data and ensure you've tracked everything accurately in the program.

You can count on me to provide further related resources and details about adding employees and running payroll and reports in QBO. Kindly comment with any questions, and I'll ensure a prompt response.
