Question

I have been having issues with my invoices showing delivery issues even though they have gone through. The work around does not fix the issue. Do u know how to fix this

Back in July 2024 this was happening only to customers with outlook.  We were told to email all invoices to a gmail address or download and send.  neither option works when and how is this going to be fixed

There's a few solutions you can try troubleshooting with if some customers aren't receiving their emails. Initially, if you've recently imported data into QuickBooks, you may need to reset the email address on file.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Use your Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  2. Access the Company tab.
  3. Find your Contact info section and click its edit option.
  4. Review each email address and make any necessary changes.
  5. Select Save, then Done.

 

In the event that solution doesn't apply, ask your customers to check their junk and spam folders. If the emails still aren't found, clear and re-enter your email address:
 

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  2. Access your Company section, find Contact info and click Edit.
  3. Clear the Company email field and enter your desired address as is, even if it appears correct. Be sure to not use any extra characters or spaces before, within, or after the address you enter.
  4. Select Save, then Done and send yourself a test transaction. If you still don't receive your email, try using a different email that has a different domain (for instance, if you were using Gmail as a provider, try a Hotmail or Yahoo address instead).

 

If the issue continues, your customer will need to ask an IT expert to help them with configuring their server to accept QuickBooks mail server host names and IP addresses. They'll need to add the QuickBooks mail server host names and IP addresses to their outgoing mail servers allow list. This is so QuickBooks emails aren't mistakenly marked as spam.
