Question

I have been informed by QBO customer service that they engaged a 3rd party vendor to mail 1099s to contractors and they are behind. Who is responsible for late fee?

QBO has no ETA on when 3rd party vendor will actually mail our 1099s.  Is there another way to access a PDF of 1099 to mail to contractors ourself?

Thanks for becoming part of the Community, nburgess@kesnerl.

To discuss fees associated with your account, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment and discuss your fees.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.

  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.

  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

In regard to accessing 1099s, if you've already e-filed them, they can be accessed from your Taxes screen:

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Taxes, then 1099 filings.
  2. Find a 1099 you want to view.
  3. Select its View 1099 option.

If you don't see an archived or previously filed 1099, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team and request a copy.

I've also included a detailed resource about accessing 1099s which may come in handy moving forward: Print your 1099 forms

Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
