Question

I have been using new layout for invoices. Suddenly yesterday, the description field is no longer beneath the product. It's beside it and looks dumb. How do I fix this?

Thanks for posting in the Community!

I'm here to provide information on the user interface for entering invoices in the new QuickBooks experience.

The Description field, when recording a new invoice, has always been positioned beside the Product field. As you input a description, the field automatically extends downward, allowing you to view the entire text field as you type. Just note that there is a 4000-character limit for this field.

If you ever find the need to adjust the column width for your invoice, you can create a custom form style. However, it’s essential to note that this change will only be reflected on the invoice itself, not on the create invoice page. For more detailed information, you can refer to this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
