Question

I have repeatedly attempted to have QB change my bank's URL to the correct one. How do I get this done? Have tried phone, chat, and requested online.

Hello, @rlrozas.

It's my pleasure to help you correct your bank URL in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

You'll need to delete your bank account and connect it again. Deleting your account will permanently delete all of its historical transactions and data. In addition, once you're done reconnecting the account, QuickBooks Self-Employed downloads the 30 to 90 days of transactions, and in some cases up to a year.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. select Manage accounts.
  3. Click the delete icon.

After that, let's connect your account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Bank accounts.
  2. Select Connect another account.
  3. Paste your bank link and follow the on-screen steps.
  4. Next, you'll want to categorize your transactions.

Moreover, since all the transactions will be deleted if you want to re-add those old transactions you manually add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed

Did you ever get this fixed?  I am having the same problem.  When I copy my URL it only gives me one choice - the Small Business login for my bank, but I need the Commercial Banking login.

TIA

I would love to assist you here promptly, @jeh6; however, the best step you can take is to reach out to your banking institution and request another link.

I understand how crucial it is to have seamless access to your Commercial Banking login. Since the link you're using directs you to the Small Business login page, I recommend contacting your bank's customer support team. They can verify if you are using the correct link for Commercial Banking and provide you with the accurate URL.

If you've verified with your bank that the URL is correct but still encounter the same problems, you can contact our QuickBooks Support Team. They can help ensure that your QuickBooks setup aligns with your banking interface.

Once fixed, you might want to categorize your bank transactions to put them on the correct line of your Schedule C.

Should you have any further questions after consulting your bank or need additional assistance with your QuickBooks settings, do not hesitate to get back in touch. Our goal is to support you in maintaining smooth and accurate financial operations.
