Thanks for sharing your query here with us today, LodiValley. Let me provide insights on your sales transactions when moving data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

When migrating from QBDT to QBO, several lists of transactions, reports, items, and other data can be imported to the online version. However, all memorized transactions, audit trails, previous reconciliations, billable journal entries, pending sales, and others can't be available and moved to QBO. You can check out this article for more detailed information: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Usually, sales transactions can be imported as sales receipts and invoices like how you entered these entries in the desktop version. In your case, you've possibly condensed your data file before moving to the online program. That is why your entire career sales are combined into one journal entry.

However, if you haven't condensed and streamlined your desktop data before importing, you can try migrating your company file again to help identify the root cause of this issue. To do this:

  1. Secure and get your desktop file ready.
  2. If you're using QBDT Enterprise, sign in as an admin to the desktop company file you want to move.
  3. On your keyboard, press Ctrl 1 to open the Product Information window.
  4. Press Ctrl Q, and select OK to display the export window. Then, select Get Started.
  5. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  6. Select Choose online company, and click the company you want to replace with your company file.
  7. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
  1. Enter Agree in the text field, then select Replace.
  2. Click Yes, go ahead and replace the data, and press Replace.

Moreover, I'm including this article to learn more about what to do after moving your desktop file to the online program: What to do after you move from QuickBooks Desktop Windows or Mac to QuickBooks Online.

@LodiValley

Did you condense your data on QB Desktop before convert it to QBO?
