I’m having trouble creating an invoice. Can someone call me and walk me through it?

Welcome to the Community, joshuadavis018-y.

If you're using your new layout, there's more than one way to create an invoice. In the event you send an estimate and your customer approves it, you can convert the estimate to an invoice.

You can also create a new invoice manually:

  1. Use your + New button.
  2. Click Invoice.
  3. Hit Add customer and choose a customer from the ▼ Drop-down list. Confirm all of their information is correct, including their email address.
  4. Review your Invoice date, Due date, and Terms. Enter new dates or terms if necessary. In the Terms field, Net refers to your number of days until the payment is due.
  5. Press Add product or service and choose a product/service from your ▼ Drop-down.
  6. Specify how you want to calculate the charge amount, flat rate, by hour, or by item. Enter a quantity and rate if needed.
  7. To customize your invoice info or design, use the invoice's Gear (Manage) icon, then utilize your options from the side panel. QuickBooks remembers your choices and applies them to all existing and future invoices.
  8. When you're finished you can select Review and send, Save and close, Print and download, Receive payment, or Share link.

In the event you're using your old layout, the steps will be a bit different. You can also record invoices from your QuickBooks Mobile App.

If you need further assistance creating an invoice, you can get in touch with our Customer Care team while signed in. They're able to perform screen shares with you if necessary.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a great Thursday!
