Question

I'm not able to add a number under "quantity" Anyone know how to fix this? Also, my invoices are not longer showing overdue balances. How do I change it back?

I got your back onepetatatime.

I want to ensure you can add a number under the quantity column in your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's perform troubleshooting steps to sort it out.

QuickBooks may behave unexpectedly due to data issues in your browser. To verify this, try using an incognito or private browser. To open an incognito window, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

If you continue to experience the same result, I suggest using other supported browsers. This will help us identify if the issue is specific to your current browser.

About the missing overdue balances in your invoice, consider ticking the checkbox in your invoice template.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Custom form styles.
  2. Choose a template and click Edit under the Action column.
  3. Click the Content and hit the pencil icon at the middle part of the invoice.
  4. Tick the Show on invoice checkbox to show the account summary.
  5. Once finished, click Done.

After that, ensure to use the edited template when creating an invoice for your customers.

Just in case you want to receive invoice payment, you can check out this reference for your guide: Record an invoice payment.
