Question

I'm unable to create a new account in the chart of accounts. Also unable to edit them.

The link and options are available (up top to the right to create a New, and per line to the right on the dropdown) but when I click on them nothing happens.

There are times when QuickBooks online is poorly configured, @ifacosta. It might be that there was a glitch in your QBO. 

 

In the meantime, I suggest using a private window that doesn't store files. Browsers use cache and cookies to load web pages faster.

 

To open an incognito window, you can refer to these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press Crtl+Shift+P
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Crtl+Shift+N
  • Safari: Press Command+Shift+N

 

If you still have the same result, I suggest utilizing another supported browser. It will help us identify if the issue is specific to your current browser.

 

When you can edit and add a new chart of accounts, consider returning to your regular browser and clearing its cache and cookies.
