I'm using budgets and after I put in a number for the year in a line item, the monthly budget spreads the number across all months. How do I stop this automated feature?

The option to stop the automated feature after putting an amount in the line item when creating a budget is not yet available in QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks automatically breaks down the amount you input to equally divide them. However, you have the option to delete or edit the amount you want to input on a yearly, quarterly, or monthly basis.
