Hello there. You can run the Sales by Customer Detail report to get the data for your monthly sales. I'll be here to guide you every step of the way to pull it up.

The Sales by Customer Detail report will display all the sales transactions for your customers based on the specific time frame. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account.
  2. Next, select the Reports menu and choose Sales by Customer Detail under Sales.
  3. Then, set the Date to the correct month. If you want to see the per-month sales journal, you can select Custom and set the From and To date
  4. Click the Customize Report button to add additional customization and filters for your report.
  5. When done, select the Refresh button.

If in case, you want to see all sales for several months, select Custom and set the date range. Then, export the report to customize it in Excel and split it per month. For reference, read this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Also, if you have several companies, you can use the Combine Reports feature to consolidate the financial reports of those companies. For a detailed guide, check this resource: Combine reports from multiple company files.

Just post a reply below for every concern you may have about getting a monthly sales journal. I'm always here ready to give prompt assistance. Take care always.
