I NEED TO CHANGE ASSET ACCOUNT NUMBER ON SOME ITEMS

IF YOU  CHANGE THE ASSET ACOUNT NUMBER ON AN ITEM, DOES IT EFFECT THE HISTORY OF THE ASSET ACCOUNT NUMBER THAT WAS ENTERED IN THE BEGINNING OR WILL IT STAY THE SAME AND THE NEW NUMBER START WHEN CHANGED?

It depends. If an inventory item, then QuickBooks will change it for all the history of the item.

 

If an other type of item, I think you'll be asked if you want to update existing transactions.
