Question

I opened a new project this morning but when I go to Time Track the Project is not showing up under Customer/Project. It's been hours and I have closed and refreshed.

I called the help and after getting bounced around the only thing they told me was to delete the project and re-enter.  Super frustrated!  Is this happening to anyone else?  Any tips?

I appreciate you for reaching out to our Phone Support team, LabellaMindi.

As of now, we haven't received reports about Projects not showing up. Before deleting and recreating it, let's run some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

To start with, open QuickBooks on an incognito window. It is the best place to isolate what causes the Projects didn't display. Here is the list of shortcut keys to open an incognito window:

  • For Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • For Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • For Safari: Shift N

If the Projects show up, you can continue working on a regular browser and clear the cache. A piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected issues on the opened pages.

You also have the option to switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge to identify the issue further.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support team so we can investigate this further. You can use this link to get our support's contact details: Contact QBO Support.

Feel free to pin these references that have FAQs about the Projects feature:

You can always post here as to how the steps work on your end. I'm here to ensure that your concerns gets taken care of.

I tried it in Microsoft Edge as well as an Incognito window in Chrome, no luck with either one.

Hello, LabellaMindi.

I appreciate your time in doing the steps provided by my colleague. I would also agree that it is indeed frustrating to start all over again after entering something important.

With that being said, I'll clarify and share some details about the missing project under Customer/Project in QuickBooks.

I double-checked our system and it looks like other users are experiencing this issue as well. After my colleague's reply, an investigation case was already created.

Our engineers are currently working to fix the missing projects, and will roll out a patch as soon as possible.

I see the that you've already reached out to our phone support. In this case, you'll want to contact them again so you'll be added to the list of affected users.

This way, you'll receive updates about the issue with the potential fixes and some other details.

You can use the same phone number, or if you don't have it anymore, follow the steps to reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. On the pop-up panel, go to the Search tab.
  3. Click the Contact Us button.
  4. In the text box, type something like "projects missing from Customer/Projects."
  5. Click Continue, then choose how you want to reach us (phone or chat).

If you need to follow up on your customer's outstanding balances and dues, you can create and send statements within QuickBooks. Check out this article for more details: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online

Once again, I appreciate your patience as we're working to get the projects back to normal again. I'm all ears if you have other concerns regarding your customer entries or any other transactions. I'm here to help.
