Question

I posted a question. A QB expert answer. I can't ask a followup question. I get "Authentication Ticket Mismatched" then an endless cycle of links to nowhere. How to post?

I'm here to ensure you can post follow-up questions in QuickBooks Community, Pil.

In accessing the Community forum, we have to ensure the login credentials match our QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. However, if you have verified the account details yet still experiencing the same problems, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-related issue.

In this case, we can open an incognito browser when matching transactions in QBO. Doing so prevents the browser history from being saved. Refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with a clean slate.

Regarding your concern about how to process the lump sum 2023 reconciliation in QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can create journal entries (JE) to complete this action. In processing JE for lump sum reconciliation, the ending balance of your last successful reconciliation should be the beginning balance of your next reconciliation. However, I highly suggest contacting a tax professional to provide assistance and ensure you're on the right track.

Additionally, I'll add this article about how to fix issues or determine discrepancies after the reconciliation:

Let me know if you have more questions about reconciling transactions in QBO. Take care always!
