Question

I received an email stating my payments account on QuickBooks has been closed and I need to re-verify it in order to make it active again. Is this a scam?

We appreciate you for bringing this to our attention, repairsandcleaniLet me share some insights on how to recognize QuickBooks official correspondence.

As QuickBooks uses different email addresses to communicate with its customers, it's crucial to identify the authenticity of the email you received.  Please note that Intuit emails will always come from an email address with the domain name @intuit.com including @e.intuit.com

For more information, you can visit this article: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.

On the other hand, if the email you received comes from us, I suggest contacting our Support team. They have the necessary tools to check your account thoroughly and perform real-time assistance.

Here's how you can reach them out:

  1. In your QBO account, click the Help icon and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter your concern and click Let's Talk.
  3. Select Start a chat or Get a callback with a support expert.

Additionally, if the email is not from us, I suggest visiting our Online Security Center website to report the issue. Once there, navigate to the Security section on the homepage and select the Email security@intuit.com. This will enable our security team to conduct a comprehensive review of the information.

Moreover, I've included these articles that provide valuable insights on how to protect business accounts and data against fraudulent activities:
