Welcome to the Community, @elitepoolservice. I have information here that I can share about the  "Try again call succeeded and payload empty" error when creating an invoice.

I'd like to know what device you're using when you experience the error in creating an invoice.

Currently, there's an ongoing investigation into this error in QuickBooks Online (QBO) signed into iOS devices. To create your invoice successfully, you can use an Android device and download the latest QBO application or log in via a web browser.

Also, I suggest contacting QBO Care Team to add you to the affected user's list. You'll be notified via email once an update is available.

If you experience this error on an Android device, you can Refresh Data to free up the storage. Also, ensure that your application is updated.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Menu tab and select the More Options.
  2. Select Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

If this happens using a mobile or computer browser, I suggest logging in via incognito mode or a private window to avoid storing cache file that causes odd behavior when using a web-based program.

You can utilize these shortcut keys if you sign in via computer browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Then, create an invoice there. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to eliminate piled-up data. If the issue persists, you can use another supported browser or device

Also, you can visit this article to learn how to personalize and add specific information to your sales forms, enabling you to create professional-looking invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
