Do I have to combine receipts into one picture per transaction w the app? How do I move the receipt from one of the transactions into the other to remove the duplicate transaction?

I'm delighted to have you in the Community space today, @dalethes. I'll share an insight on using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app to handle business transactions and receipts.

Please know that in QB mobile app, it's one transaction per receipt. If you've got more than one picture of the receipt for that specific transaction, you can consider adding it in the Attachment section.

Once you've uploaded the receipt into your mobile app and found two or more records, here's how you can ensure you matched them with the correct transaction:

  1. Select the dropdown▼ next to Match, then select Review.
  2. Compare the potential matches, then select the correct expense.
  3. Select Match to connect it to the receipt.

For further guidelines, please visit this handy article: Upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online.

As for the duplicate transactions, what you'll want to do is to get rid of them by deleting them from the app. I'll input the steps below. To begin, here's how:

  1. Go to the Menu icon.
  2. Select the All tab.
  3. Go to the Sales section, then tap the transaction type.
  4. Find and select the transaction (i.e. invoice) you want to delete.
  5. Select the 3 dots above, then choose Delete.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm.

In addition, I've got you this article to help you manage invoice payments: Receive an invoice payment using the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

It's been a pleasure to have you, @dalethes. In case you got any additional QuickBooks-related concerns or need help performing specific tasks within the program. Please don't hesitate to post here again. I'll be happy to help you. Stay safe, and have a good one!

Thank you! That makes sense. Based on your answer, I realize that it is a benefit that each picture creates a separate transaction especially if I have a pile of receipts to add. So, I will explore adding addl receipts as Attachments.

I also discovered the Review/Match option and it works perfectly. Thank you again for the prompt response.
