Question

I used to be able to view inactive customers. I can't seem to do that now. How can I?

Good morning, @nuvu.

I'm happy to show you the process of viewing your inactive customers! Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Reports, then select Customers and Receivables.
  2. Choose Customer Contact List.
  3. At the upper left side, click Customize Report.
  4. Select the Filters tab.
  5. On the Current Filter Choices section, click Active Status then set to Not-active.
  6. Click Ok.
  7. Click Refresh.

If these are steps you have already tried, please let me know so we can explore other options. Have a fantastic day!

I didn't see an active status option.

Happy Friday @CDMS.

Thanks for dropping into the Community. I’m glad you found us! I’d be happy to help you view your inactive customers. Depending on which version of QBO you have, the naming could be different.

If you don’t see an “active” option, you should have a “deleted” option in the filter. Try these easy steps:

  1. From Reports, select Sales and customers.
  2. Choose Customer Contact List.
  3. Click on the vertical ellipsis (three dots) on the right, then Customize.
  4. Select the Filters tab.
  5. Check Deleted and choose Deleted in the drop-down box.
  6. Then Run report.

This will get you a list of all inactive(deleted) customers. If you want a list of ALL customers, active and inactive, you can select ALL in the drop-down to have a complete customer list.

Let me know if you have any other questions about finding your customers or anything else. I’m here for you any time.

Enjoy your weekend!
