Hi there, RJ. Allow me to guide you through the process of modifying the invoice due date.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, users have an option to change the due date of their invoices. To do so, please refer to the steps below:

  1. Go to Invoices.
  2. Find the invoice.
  3. Click Edit in the Action column.
  4. Update the invoice due date.
  5. Once done, click Save and close.

On the other hand, please know that if you're using online banking to receive payments from your customers, it will be based on the bank's lead time.

Furthermore, I'm adding this article for guidance on how to review, download transactions, and run financial reports in the program: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed

Don't hesitate to revisit this page if you need additional assistance aside from managing your invoices. I’ll be right here to assist anytime.

I followed your instructions and when I got to the edit  page on the invoice, there was no due date.

In a previous version of QB, the due date was never there. QB added that last year.
My business is a pay immediately business.

The due date shows when the client clicks on the PAY button on their emailed invoice.

Note Inv and Inv Due files attached.
Now I wait 30 days for clients that used to pay immediately.

How do I stop this 30 nonsense?

We appreciate you getting back in the thread, rjhodgkins.

Let me share information to help you display and update the due date of your invoices.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you can choose which information to display on your forms. Hence, you need to toggle on the Due date to reflect them on your invoices and update them accordingly.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account.
  2. Head to Invoices, then choose the invoice you want to edit.
  3. Under the Action column, click Edit.
  4. Select Customize, then go to the Invoice details section.
  5. Toggle on the Due date and update it manually once it appears on your invoice.
  6. Either Save it or Send it again to your customer.

Once done, this is how your invoice looks and where you can find the Due date when sending it to a customer:
