Based on your scenario, Setting a company to Non-profit will automatically make your invoice pledge, jonathan-ussma-o.
Generally, pledges will appear in QuickBooks Online when a user has selected that their organization is a non-profit. If you're needing to change the name of the transaction that's sent to your customer/member, you can customize a template to do this. Let me walk you through how.
- Go to the Gear icon and select Custom Form Styles.
- If you'd like to modify an existing style, click Edit in the Action column. If not, click New style and choose Invoice.
- On the Content section, click the pencil icon on the top box.
- Under Form names, type in Pledge in the box beside Invoice.
- You can click Preview PDF to see the changes made, then click Done.
You can learn more about this through this article: Track funds you receive from donors in QuickBooks Online.
