Question

I want to know how to delete a vehicle from my Quickbooks self employed account. It's a vehicle I've never owned and not sure why it's showing up.

Thanks for dropping by in the Community, nlyons81. Let me guide you on how to delete a vehicle on QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

In QBSE, you can make your vehicle inactive so it won't appear in your list of vehicles inside your company file. Here are the steps to get us started:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Self-Employed company.
  2. Go to Apps, then select Mileage.
  3. Click the ▼ dropdown next to Add Trip. Then, select Manage Vehicles.
  4. Select the vehicle you want to make inactive.
  5. Click Vehicle no longer in use. This moves your vehicle to the Inactive section of your Manage Vehicles pane. Note: The option to select the Vehicle no longer in use will only show if it's a non-primary vehicle.

Feel free to visit this article for further guidelines on tracking mileage: Set up vehicles and mileage tracking in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Apart from that, I've also got you this helpful article about handling bank transactions inside QBSE for future reference: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I look forward to having you in the Community space again. Please don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you need further assistance on managing vehicles and other QuickBooks-related matters. We're always available to assist. Stay safe, nlyons81.
