Hi, I am using Quick Books Enterprise Solution and going to open more stores which are in different locations.

Currently, I am using company file on my server and tested about how to make invoices and do the inventory work with different class and username.

Here are my questions.

  • How can I do seperate inventory tracking on each of the stores?
  • I'd like to make each stores can not access to each other's inventory, sales report, their customers or something else, but administrator can access all of them.
  • Also, how can I make it as when administrator make a change on price or something, all the branch stores can be changed?
  • Can I make all those things work with the same company file?
  • If not, will I need to upgrade to another product to make them work like that?

Thanks for your time, and hope you have a great day.

@JuneMoon

You may have other options:

1. Each store will manage its own company files locally. All stores will send regular company files to your office and you can use the Consolidate feature to continue.

2. Set up a simple private cloud solution in your office. All company files will be stored on a server in your office. They will access the files over an internet connection and they won't need to install QuickBooks locally. You can access all company files at any time.
