If I reactivate my account, will I regain access to previous receipts etc loaded or are they gone forever?

Hello, Danielle. Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm here to explain how many days QuickBooks will keep your company file after deactivation your account.

In QuickBooks Online, we typically retain your data for 365 days. This means you can access the past year's financial information, transactions, reports, and the rest of your previous data in your account.

If you require access to data beyond the 365 days, we recommend utilizing the data export feature within QuickBooks Online. This allows you to export your financial data to a local storage device or another software for further analysis and record-keeping. To learn more about what will happen to your data after canceling your subscription, please read this article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

We understand the importance of maintaining your financial records and strive to provide a secure and reliable data storage platform. If you wish to resubscribe, here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Click the Billing & Subscription section.
  4. Select Resubscribe, and enter the updated billing information.
  5. Then tap Subscribe.
