The account is not listed when I click on transactions and shows as not connected in chart of accounts, but when I go to connect to bank that account is unable to be clicked because it says it is connected already.  This is a merged account, but the other account is not connected.

Hi there. Let me give you information about connecting accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Note that accounts connected to online banking can't be merged. Your accounts might not yet link to online banking. For you to be able to connect it, you can perform browser troubleshooting steps to fix this. Know that browsers accumulate temporary internet files that can affect your browsing experience. Too many internet files can sometimes change how your QBO company behaves, resulting in errors when performing tasks. See the following keyboard shortcuts for suitable browsers to open a private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P
