Hello!

I am trying to set up accounts so that I can see the subaccounts under Income - Services on my P&L. I want to be able to see income from each type of service.  How to I make these subaccounts show up on the P&L? I'm on the Accountant's version.

It's nice to see you here in the Community, @EGapp.

I'd be happy to share some information on customizing your reports to ensure you get the exact information you need.

To see your sub-accounts on your Profit and Loss report, I recommend customizing it to display all rows. This will allow you to see all the sub-accounts without individually clicking the dropdown arrows. I'll guide you through the process step by step.

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Select Profit and Loss.
  3. Choose a specific date range under the Report period dropdown.
  4. Click the Show non-zero or active only dropdown menu.
  5. Select All under Show rows. Then, select Active under Show columns.

  6. Hit Run report.

Once you've completed the customization, you should be able to see the sub-accounts on your Profit and Loss report.

Thank you for your help. I've done that and it is still only showing the total for Services, not the subaccounts.

Thank you for providing us with an update, EGapp. I'm here to guide you through the steps needed to generate a report that shows the subaccounts.

Since it's not showing on your end, you can perform these steps to narrow down the result:

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Select Profit and Loss.
  3. Go to the Customize field. Check the Distribution Account.
  4. Under Filter ▼. Choose All Income/Expense Accounts.
  5. Press Run report.
