We are pleased to welcome you to the Community space, @gorejoice. Let's investigate why the sub-account is not appearing on the Profit and Loss report and work towards ensuring its visibility in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Thank you for selecting QuickBooks as your partner in managing your business operations. Beforehand, I'll provide detailed instructions on how to perform or achieve this matter to ensure that you're taking the proper steps.

To begin with, make sure you're viewing QuickBooks in Business View to show the intended columns in the Profit and Loss report for sub-accounts and totals. We can organize your Profit and Loss report so that the sub-accounts are displayed. Then, follow the steps below for guidance:

  1. Go to the Gear ⚙ and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account and select the small arrow in the Action column.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Select the Is sub-account box. Then, choose the specific parent account in the list.
  5. Click Save and Close.
