Inventory of product

In QB desktop I could go to a product and it would have a running total of the inventory on hand.  In QB online I get the report like I have attached to this email.  The current listing I get has inventory asset section, sales section and cogs section.  I don't care for this I just want what was billed in and what has been billed out with a running total.

I have struggled with adjusting to online after 30 years of desktop.

Hi there, @Ymker.

Transitioning from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online can indeed be challenging, especially with inventory management. To obtain a running total of your inventory on hand, you'll want to use a different reporting method in QuickBooks Online.

To get the information you need, run a Inventory Valuation Detail report. This provides a snapshot of your inventory and its value at a given point in time. You'll see the billed in and billed out amount and more information that you need.

On the left menu, head to Reports and search for Inventory Valuation Detail report. Additionally, you can also learn how to customize and memorize this report so you can access it easily in the future.

If you need further assistance or have specific questions about utilizing reports in QuickBooks Online, feel free to ask. I'm always here to assist you.
