Question

Invoice custom fields missing on mobile, present on web.

After the new update for invoices, templates, etc., we can no longer see the custom fields on our invoices. We do see them on web and when printing from web, everything seems normal. But, no luck on mobile. This persists across all ~13 QBO companies and >20 devices, so it's not a "us" issue. Seems to be an Intuit issue. Has anyone seen the same? Any work arounds? Intuit support has been useless.

Making sure you're able to see the custom fields using your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app is necessary to ensure you finish your task smoothly, @ddoherty.

We can sort this out by resetting the cache data of your mobile app. This is a good place to start when trying to fix a problem. Below are the steps you can use depending on your device:

iOS:

  1. Tap the Menu icon at the top right.
  2. Then, choose Help & Feedback
  3. Next, select Refresh Data and click Refresh

Android:

  1. Click the Menu at the top right.
  2. Next, select Settings
  3. Then, tap Refresh Data and click Yes.

Once done, check if you can now see the custom field in the invoice. If the same thing happens, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to refresh the background processes.

To know other features supported by the QBO mobile app, feel free to read this article: Compare mobile app features.
