I'm here to help you with your invoices, @diane147.

If you're having trouble adding customization settings, payment options, or invoice reminders, you'll need to refresh the page after switching the toggle.

If you can't add invoices, can you please tell us the specific toggle you switched on?

For now, I suggest performing some troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem. A cache-related issue is likely causing the inability to add or customize invoices. You can use a private or incognito window to rule out cache problems in your browser. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Next, log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and add or customize invoices again. If it works, you can clear your browser's cache. This removes the webpage data that's causing the issue. If a private browser doesn't work, you can use other installed supported browsers as another option.

In case you need guidance in receiving and recording invoice payments, you can check out this article: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Please let us know which specific toggle you switched on so we can provide further assistance. We're always here to help you out. Stay safe!

Thanks for your prompt reply, @diane147.

I've checked here on my end and found out that there's an ongoing investigation about the invoices not adding and showing the updated amount. With this, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support team so they can add to the list of affected users and be able to get updates once there's already a possible fix.

Here's how:

  1. From the Search tab, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter your question and select Continue.
  3. Review and select from the following: Have us call you, or Chat with us.

Once fixed, I have an article to help you account for your customer payments in the future: Receive invoice payment.

Feel free to add a reply if you have any further questions about managing your invoices or sales transactions. I'll always be ready to assist you.
