Can't pay employees, billing update does not work

To verify my understanding, are you referring to your billing information for the subscription you're using? If so, can you provide more details of how it's not working when you try to manage your billing info?
 

In the event you're trying to change your subscription's credit card details, it will depend on how you subscribed. If the subscription was initiated through our website, you can make changes to billing information from your Billing Subscription screen.
 

Here's how:
 

  1. Sign in as the primary or company admin. Only these users can update billing info.
  2. Use your Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  3. Access the Billing Subscription tab.
  4. Find your Payment method section and use its Pencil (Edit) icon.
  5. Make any necessary changes.
  6. Confirm the address in QuickBooks is identical to what's listed on your credit card statement.
  7. Select Confirm card or Save.

 

In the event you subscribed through a mobile app store, your steps to update billing details will be a bit different.
 

If you already have an active payroll subscription, you'll be able to create and run payroll. Please update me here if you have an active payroll subscription, but are still unable to pay employees. Any further details about any messages you're seeing when employees can't be paid would be helpful for me to research further.
