Question

Is there a maximum number of tabs you can have (maximum number of classes) when uploading a new budget from an excel file?

My first twelve uploaded fine.  Thirteenth one only grabbed 9 of the 12 months, and the fourteenth tab did not upload at all.

Hello, @userterri-erlenbeck.

I can help you in uploading a new budget from an Excel file into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QuickBooks, there is no specific limit on the number of tabs or classes that can be uploaded when adding a new budget from an Excel file. However, the capabilities of the system and any restrictions related to the volume of data being imported may influence the success of the upload, and it's possible that certain subscriptions may have different limitations in place.

Furthermore, if the number of classes has not yet reached the maximum limit, I suggest updating both your browser and Excel for improved performance. Consulting with an IT professional for further guidance is also advisable.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference in memorizing your reports in QBO: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
