Is there a report showing both beginning and ending statement balances in Quickbooks desktop

For Accounts Receivable (A/R) reporting, you have an A/R Aging Summary and A/R Aging Detail report. I'd recommend trying your A/R Aging Detail to see if it's what you're looking for.

Here's how to run and customize both reports:
 

1. In the top menu bar, go to Reports, then Report Center.
2. Find and open your A/R Aging Detail report. You can also alternatively run the A/R Aging Summary if necessary.
3. On your Report screen, click Customize Report.
4. From the Modify Report window, go to each tab you need to update. You can learn about each tab and how they allow you to customize reports in our Customize reports article.
5. Select OK when you're finished making your customizations.

In the event you need to customize your report further than what's possible in QuickBooks, you can export reports and customize them further in Excel.
