I'm here to provide ways to recover transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed, @Jayrob1.

When you connect your bank account to QuickBooks, the program will automatically download past transactions up to a certain date. However, if there are any missing transactions from the past, you can manually import or enter the missing entries.

To manually import your transactions:

  1. Go to the Profile icon and select Imports.
  2. Select Import transactions.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  4. Select Import.

To manually add new transactions:

  1. Go to the Transaction menu and select Add Transactions.
  2. Enter the amount and a description.
  3. Select the Select a Category menu. Select the best category to organize your transactions.
  4. If you have a receipt, you can drag and drop it onto the form.
  5. When done, select Save.

Explore this article for additional details on manually inputting transactions on iOS and Android: Manually add transactions.

On the other hand, If the missing transactions are from a connected account, You can manually refresh the connection to force the download.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage accounts.
  3. Click the Refresh All button.

Additionally, I'll add this article to assist you in organizing your income and expense transactions that you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks: Categorize transactions in QBSE.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions regarding banking transactions. I am always available to assist you. Have a nice day.

@Jayrob1

You can use one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
