Is there a way to change a job to a new customer? [QuickBooks for Mac v. 2015]

Office user accidentally entered a new customer as a job under another customer 8 months ago and that new customer (job) has had many invoices and payments since. Is there an easy way to change that job to an actual separate customer? Or do we need to delete and re-enter everything correctly? Thanks for your help!

From the gear icon at the bottom left of the customer center put a check at "enable custom ordering". Select the job and drag it left and up. Payments will remain at what ever level they were received.
