Is there a way to generate a report of Open Invoices and then group by Product with the ability to show total count of each Product

Hi I'm trying to generate a report that has the ability to show all Open Invoices with a count of the total of each product. Afterwards I would like to see the term of each invoice but this is besides the primary goal.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Community space, Angela. We'll help you pull this off and get the data needed inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, know we understand the importance of this matter and want to make it easy for you to gather the details you need. However, please be aware that you'll need two separate reports to achieve this. You can run the Sales by Product Service Detail report and filter it to keep track of your open invoices, group by product, and the total count per inventory items inside your company.

If you wish to continue with this method, we'll be happy to write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Reports tab.
  3. In the Search bar, enter Sales by Product Service Detail and then click the result.
  4. Choose a specific range for the reporting period, and then click the Customize button.
  5. Go to the Filter section, and then tick the box beside A/R Paid. Click the Dropdown arrow and choose Unpaid.
  6. Tick the box beside the Transaction Type, and then choose Invoice.

About the invoice terms, you can run the Transaction List by Customer and modify the report to add the Terms column. If you wish to combine these reports, we recommend exporting them outside of QuickBooks and merge them manually. Feel free to check this article to learn more about exporting business reports outside the program: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, in case you want to keep your current report settings for future use. You can visit this handy article for more details: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Angela, it's been a pleasure to have you here today. We'll be happy to have you here again if you need further assistance generating business data inside QuickBooks. Have a good one.
