Question

Is there a way to get a link to an invoice without actually sending it to the customer?

I often include invoice links in emails, and I don't want the link to be sent before sending the email. The menu open Share Invoice Link automatically sends it; I just want to retrieve the link.

I have the details you need regarding getting an invoice link without sending the form to your customer, finance. Allow me to discuss this matter thoroughly for clarification.

In QuickBooks Online, the Share link or Share invoice link option allows you to get an invoice link and send it to your customer, depending on your preferred method. Selecting this option doesn't automatically deliver an invoice to your customer. It can only help generate a link for your sales form.

Here's how to get an invoice link:

  1. Head to Sales from the left pane.
  2. Choose Invoices and locate the transaction from the list.
  3. Click the dropdown under the Action column, then pick the Share Invoice link.
  4. Select the Copy link, then Done.

After that, you can paste and send the invoice link using your preferred messaging platform when communicating with your customers.
