I want to officially welcome you to the Community space, @montgomeryre.

I'm here to share some information about estimates and how it works in QuickBooks Online.

The option to know if a customer opened or viewed an estimate isn't yet available. For now, we can only ensure that the estimate was received by your client. The Last Delivery indicator will appear below the Customer and the Email fields.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Sales menu.
  2. Select All Sales.
  3. Locate the Estimate transaction then open it.
  4. Below the Customer's name, the Last Delivery indicator will show if the transaction is already sent together with the date and time you send it.

You might also consider using a third-party app to have an indicator that tells us that your client viewed the estimate.

  1. Go to Apps.
  2. Click Finds Apps.
  3. Type estimate in the Search for an app field (see screenshot below)
  4. If you have found the app you're looking for, just click Get App Now.

You can also check the reviews from the customers. This can help you decide on the third-party app that suits your needs.

Also, I'm adding these articles to know more about estimates and how to personalize sales forms:

Additionally, feel free to browse this link here in case you need help with other tasks in QBO. It has our general topics with articles that'll guide you along the way.

Please know that you can always get back to us if you have any questions with QuickBooks. I'm always here to help. Have a good day.

This makes no sense. If I can see if an invoice is opened, why would I not be able to see if an estimate is opened? Between this and the lack of a credit card markup option I'm seeing nothing but lazy programming by QB

We're taking note of our customers' ideas and insights and I can share how you can send feedback directly to our software engineers:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.

I'll include this article to help you with managing your estimates: Create and send estimates in QuickBooks Online.

I'm here if you have additional questions on this or anything else within QuickBooks Online. Take care

@montgomeryre

What kind of business do you run? You may need an additional app to do so.

It would be extremely useful to see if an estimate has been viewed, otherwise it's a guessing game of how to prioritize a follow up call.

Welcome, @20jrg20

Thanks for chiming in on this thread about a customer viewing their estimate

I can see how beneficial this would be for you and many other users of QuickBooks Online. However, there isn't an option to see if your customer has viewed their estimate at this time.

I recommend sharing your feedback with our Product Developers so they can consider this as a feature in the near future. Also, check out our Blog site to keep up with what's new in the product so you don't miss out.

I'm only a post away if you have any other questions or concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success!

Candice,

Why would WE have to share with the Product Developers? How about YOU share with them? Your answer just confirms the laziness that your company is obviously infected with. Thanks for nothing.

They couldn't care less. Why did they eliminate the payroll app? Because they don't want to provide any convenience for their paying customers. Despicable customer care.
