Question

Is there any way to alleviate Intuit's transaction fees? Each payment I've received from a Quickbooks Self-Employed invoice has a hefty charge.

For instance, I received a payment for $1798.00 and Intuit charged a fee of $52.64 on it. That seems rather high, given that I already pay for an Quickbooks Self-Employed account each month.

Are you B2B or B2C?

Hi there, JMB.

I'll tell you more about the fees that have been charged on you.

There are fees associated with each transaction if you use QuickBooks Payments to accept and handle payments from customers. The transaction fees also include a credit card processing service, set up and monthly service fees, discount rates, per authorizations fees, and others. Check out this article: QuickBooks payment fees & rates for the standard payment fees & rates.

However, you will need to contact our QuickBooks Support Team in order to discuss about reducing the transaction fees. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and will be the ones to talk about the particular circumstances of the customer and see if there are any solutions to reduce the fees going forward.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's Talk.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us:

  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Otherwise, you can refer to this article for their contact information and support hours: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

I'm also including this article to learn how to get more details about Intuit charges to your credit card or bank account: Understand Intuit charges on your credit card or bank statement.

Feel free to add a reply to notify us if you have more questions about QuickBooks charges. We're just a few clicks away.
