Is there any way to have QuickBooks auto-number expenses (Ref no.) sequentially as they are entered? Thanks.

We recognize that having an automatic reference number for your expenses is important for a more organized workflow. However, QuickBooks Online (QBO) currently doesn't support the automatic sequential numbering of reference numbers for expenses as they are entered.

To help improve your experience with QBO and get this feature considered, I suggest sending feedback to our product development team.

Here's how to send it:

1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.

2. Type in your comments or product suggestions.

3. Select Next to submit.
