Question

Is there any way to set up invoices quicker? It has been taking me a lot longer to set up invoices compared to me hand writing them. I’m new to QuickBooks btw

You can prepare your invoice in Excel and import them in bulk.

It's great to hear that you're using our product in processing your business goals, @useromarexchanging. Let me share some details regarding processing invoices more quickly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can consider using the Batch transactions feature in QBO. It let's you create multiple invoice transactions on one page. Please know that this functionality is only available in the QBO Advanced version. If you're not using one, you can consider upgrading your account. However, if you have this subscription, please follow the steps I'll share below.

  1. Head to the + New.
  2. Under Other, select Batch transactions.
  3. Please pick Invoices on the Select entity type dropdown.
  4. Select Create in the Action dropdown.
  5. Add the necessary details.
  6. Once done, click Save and close.

At the same time, you can consider following 4Gals' suggestion about creating an invoice in Excel and importing it in bulk to QBO.

If you want to create templates for your recurring transactions, you can visit this article for guidance: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.
