Question

Issue with multiple locations

I own 2 hair salons and use DaySmart Salon software for our booking and payment services.  Daysmart doesn't have the capability of having 2 locations within the same subscription, so we have 2 separate accounts; one for each location (I've looked at other options, but for our business, this is currently the best solution).  They both connect to quickbooks for finance tracking.  The problem that I've run into is that because they're separate Daysmart accounts, some of the ticket numbers are duplicating between the 2 accounts and when I try to sync the transactions from the newer salon with Quickbooks Online, it's leaving out hundreds of transactions because they're "duplicate" ticket numbers.

We use the same bank account and everything for both locations.  Is there a way to create a different profile or something within quickbooks for each location so that I can sync all the transactions separately to each location so there aren't duplicates, but still have it under a single company so it doesn't cause issues with bank tracking?  I have multiple locations activated, but I don't see any way to separate anything.

I tried syncing them to different asset accounts within quickbooks, hoping it would fix the issue, but it still wouldn't do it.  It still said they were duplicates.

I know I can create a new company file and completely separate the 2 locations as different businesses, but I think that would cause a lot more headaches with banking transactions and things like that.  Does anyone have any good solutions?  Hopefully that's not too confusing.

I understand that managing multiple locations and syncing transactions to QuickBooks Online can be a bit challenging, @KCRN13. Let me provide information so this gets taken care of.

At the moment, there’s no native way to create a different profile or something similar within QuickBooks Online to sync transactions separately to each location. Please know that the program solely relies on the information shared by your DaySmart Salon and bank accounts.

You may consider contacting your third-party app provider for advice on how to avoid these duplicates. They might have options so you can track your income and expenses separately for each salon while still keeping everything under a single company file in QuickBooks Online.

You're always welcome to ask or leave comments on this page if you have any other questions or concerns besides managing locations. I’ll get back to you as soon I can, @KCRN13.
