Item quantities are not being saved on invoices.

When I enter quantities on line items on an invoice most of them to no save.  When I reopen the invoice later, or view PDF, most of the quantity entries are missing.  Been dealing with this since Nov2023.  Email today from Intuit states problem corrected.  NO, it has not been corrected.  Had six sessions with support people online and telephone.  Patience at an end.  I know I'm not alone.  Anybody have any suggestions?  This is unacceptable.  If I don't get this fixed in one week I will demand refund for past months and trash the service, and recommend others to not use it.

I understand the urgency of getting this fixed right away, @fd14. Allow me to share some updates and workaround so you can save the quantities on invoices in QuickBooks Online.

 

Upon checking our database, there's an ongoing investigation into the item quantities not being saved on invoices. Rest assured that our Engineering team is aware of this issue and is doing their best to identify the cause and provide a solution as soon as possible. 

 

While we're unable to provide exact dates for when this will be resolved, I recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and will be notified via email once it's fixed. Here's how to get in touch with them:
 

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select Search, then press the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your question in the box and hit Continue.
  4. Choose the best way you'll want to reach out to us.

 

In the meantime, a suggested workaround is to click on the 3 dots next to the line item and click on Edit Saved Item. Change the amount type to By item, then save. Enter the Quantity again, it should save it. Otherwise, make the item inactive and recreate it as new. 

 

Once everything's good, you can email or print your invoices now or later. You can also set up automatic invoice reminders so you don't have to track the dates or worry about sending too many reminders.
