Items not assigned to projects/customers Report

Looking for a report that will show all Items NOT assigned to a customer:job.   Thank you

    Hi!

    1) You could run a BS or P&L by class. 

    2) Then, you look for a column called UNASSIGNED. 

     

    That column will show you all the accounts that have transactions that have NO class. 

     

    Same thing for Customers but you would have to run a report by Customer instead of by Class.

    To find a report in QuickBooks Desktop that displays all items not assigned to a customer: job, you can follow these steps:

     

    1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the Reports menu.
    2. Select Custom Reports and then choose Transaction Detail from the list.
    3. In the Display tab, set the date range for the report as desired.
    4. Go to the Filters tab and click on the Account filter.
    5. Choose the specific account or accounts that you want to include in the report.
    6. Next, click on the Customer: Job filter and select Multiple Names from the drop-down menu.
    7. In the Name field, select the Not Selected to exclude any customer: job assignments.
    8. Click on the "OK" button to generate the report.

    Thank you.  However, do NOT have the option to click on Customer:Job filter and Name field do NO have the option to select Not Selected.

    I am looking for a report that will accomplish this in QBO -- all transactions in a given period not assigned to a project.

      Never mind, figured it out.

       

      Transaction detail by account report

      Change columns - check donor (I'm in a nonprofit file)

      Filter for Donor Not Specified
