Journal entry not showing all of my accounts- empty string error

Hello- I am trying to enter a journal entry in QB online. Only a few accounts (mainly asset accounts) are available to use. If I type in a different account, it asks me to set up that new account.  The dropdown menu for accounts lists just a few, the last item says 'empty string'.

I have tried a different browser, cleared my cache and rebooted my computer. Nothing has helped.

I have several different companies in QB online and the others are working fine.

Any advice?
